Lisa Patt-McDaniel was appointed as director of the Ohio Department of Development in September, 2009 by Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland. As director, Patt-McDaniel leads the department’s efforts to accelerate Ohio’s economic growth through job creation and retention, and attraction and development of Ohio’s high-growth industries. Throughout Patt-McDaniel’s 20-year tenure with the department, she has held numerous positions, including director, workforce and talent division; and assistant director, community development division. Patt-McDaniel holds a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Miami University and a master’s degree in public administration from The Ohio State University. |  | |
